The red wine Barón de Villazón Crianza Rioja DOCa, vintage 2014 from the winery Finca la Emperatriz has been rated in 2018 by Benjamin Herzog & Dominik Vombach with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Tempranillo from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Pleasant, fairly unagitated aromas of wild berries, complemented by roasted aromas from the barrel ageing. Soft and beautifully balanced on the palate with lots of blackberry aromas and good aromatic length. Somewhat tart in the finish.
