The fortified wines VR0308 Marsala Vergine Riserva DOC, vintage 2008 from the winery Cantine Florio has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grillo from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright, pale amber. Exciting and complex nose, of orange peel, salted almonds, fresh date, golden apple and some iodine. In the front palate there is a medium weight, then it increasingly gains in fullness, again a lot of salted almonds, light tobacco, dried fig, clear and bone-dry with a long finish, salty!
