The red wine Brunello di Montalcino, vintage 2012 from the winery Fossacolle has been rated in 2017 by Kiem, Othmar with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, sparkling ruby with a slight garnet rim. Very fine nose, fragrant, of ripe, dark cherries, some pomegranate, delicate. Firm and gripping on the palate, opens with a lot of present, pithy tannin, somewhat rough but also charming.
