Strong, dense red; roasted aromas on the nose, caramel, powerful, notes of black cherry and licorice; full, soft attack on the palate, full-bodied, distinctive, soft tannin, rather plump acidity; slightly bitter, alcohol-accentuated finish. Modern Merlot in the Californian style.
