The palate has depth and fullness, grainy, fleshy tannin lines the mouth, and a firm acid backbone gives the structure a firm hold. The alcohol (14.5 percent by volume) remains inconspicuous. Strong mineral notes complete the overall impression of a deep red made for the long haul.
