Dark ruby red colour. The nose has notes of bitter chocolate, black currants, fine earthy-resinous notes, some citrus, cold smoke, undergrowth. The palate has bright fruit and currants, plus grippy, earthy tannins, fleshy, unfortunately a bit loosely knit on the finish.
