The red wine Augusta Nizza DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Isolabella Della Croce has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Barbera from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright, intense ruby purple colour. Shows rich notes of cherry and goji berries, cloves in the background. Spreads well on the palate, lots of dark fruit, grippy tannins. Unfortunately dries up considerably in the finish, but a little chocolate in the aftertaste.
