The white wine »Taupuhi« Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2024 from the winery J. Trautwein Feine Weine has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Marlborough in New Zealand.
Nettle and paprika in the aroma, mint - emphasising the "green" side of the variety. With time in the glass, caraway-like aromas also emerge. The palate is medium-bodied in density and complexity, with a fresh acidity, light sweetness and a slightly phenolics finish. A hearty sip that goes well with a Mediterranean-spiced grilled sea bream, for example.
