The red wine Neuenahr Sonnenberg Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2017 from the winery Jean Stodden – Das Rotweingut has been rated in 2019 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Ahr in Germany.
Mint, cherry blossom, caramel and a slightly malty note to the nose, but also delicately herbal tones. In the mouth it's very juicy, with fine, mellow tannins and a very elegant acidity which gives the wine tension and length in combination with the striking minerality. Density and finesse are the watchwords here.
