The white wine Kumeu River Hunting Hill Chardonnay, vintage 2021 from the winery Kumeu River Wines has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay
Smoke and lemon zest play on the nose, and a little hint of gunflint smoulders. The palate glints with freshest, ripest fruit: peach and guava, and almost a little candied lime. The body is concentrated and beautifully textured, and always marked by a zesty streak. Lovely. The finish is marked by a serene sense of lemon zest.
