The red wine Oparis. Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso Friuli Colli Orientali DOC, vintage 2014 from the winery La Viarte has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Refosco from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
Impenetrable ruby red in colour with brightening on the rim. On the nose, herbaceous marjoram aromas, with ripe raspberry paired with nut nougat and undergrowth on the finish. The palate has lots of drive and good tension, although slightly drying, with tightly woven, juicy tannins. Repeated earthy notes on the finish.
