The red wine »Les Quarterons« AOP Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil, vintage 2018 from the winery Le Clos des Quarterons has been rated in 2021 by Gerhild Burkard, Valentine Mühlberger with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Loire Valley in France.
Multi-layered aromas of stewed plum, black cherry, grilled bell peppers and graphite. Polished, elegant tannin structure, firm acidity with good tension on the palate and mineral tones. Shows tense, ethereal length on the finish – straightforward and velvety. Cool character. Good ageing potential but already accessible now.
