Tasting from 24.03.2017: Sautter, Ulrich

Smoky and balsamic wood, underlying dried meat and herbal bitterness, softly grounded, lots of volume, and a rich, crumbly tannin filling, juicy dissolving into a still compact, but already long finish. Clearly chalky and mineral. Very good potential, 7-15 years. For immediate enjoyment, decant for two hours and ideally pair with red meat, lamb chops with grilled peppers.
