The white wine Meursault Premier Cru Goutte d’Or AOC, vintage 1996 from the winery Maison Louis Latour has been rated in 2006 with 87 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Cote de Beaune in France.
Strong yellow. Ripe yellow fruit on the nose, intense hazelnut oil, rock sugar, a hint of marzipan, intense meadow herbs with air, gingerbread, star anise. Freshly structured on the palate, complex, fine caramel nuances, but also candied orange peel, ripe apple and pear fruit, mineral hints on the finish, slightly oxidative overall. Lemon peel, acacia honey and peanut butter in the aftertaste.
