The red wine Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC Vieilles Vignes Cuvée Speciale, vintage 2016 from the winery Maison Tardieu-Laurent has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Grenache from the region Côtes du Rhône in France.
Some rum pot on the nose though not alcoholic, nougat, cinnamon. Good fruit, silky to fine-grained tannins, stable acidity, measured (or seemingly measured) alcohol, with delicate mineral notes. It is a very elegantly constructed Châteauneuf with a red berry fruit finish.
