Dark, rich ruby with an opaque core. Distinct oak on the nose, plus liquorice, blackberry, fine savouriness, milky coffee, and echoes of rosemary and dried rose petal. On the palate, polished, with clear fruit. The wine shows substantial tannins, with a subtle balsamic undertone, and is hearty on the finish.
