The red wine Masseto IGT, vintage 2007 from the winery Masseto has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark ruby, good depth of colour, purple reflections, soft brightening on the rim. Attractive sweet black berry fruit, nuances of precious wood, liquorice, dark minerality, a multi-faceted bouquet. Juicy, pronounced fruit, ripe cherries and a touch of plums, fine rounded tannins, chocolaty touch, very youthful, nougat on the finish, good persistency, taut and salty on the aftertaste, has energy and maturity potential, secure future.
