The red wine “SVM400” Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Massimago has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Veneto in Italy.
Brilliant, dark ruby red. Exhibits a complex nose of ripe cherries, milk chocolate, bitter almond, then dried rose petal and raspberry confit. Polished and dense on the palate, opens with tight-knit tannins, full of tension and juicy; long, elegant and impressive finish.
