The red wine Qubba Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Monteleone has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright, flinty garnet red. Finely marked nose with notes of pomegranate and raspberry. Good tension on the front palate, a lot of juicy acidity, clear fruit, drying wood notes on the back palate, finishes with pronounced vanilla note.
