The white wine Weinviertel DAC, vintage 2017 from the winery NÖ Landesweingut Retz – Gut Altenberg has been rated in 2018 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner from the region Weinviertel in Austria.
This has a light green yellow colour, with silver reflections. There is a delicate savouriness underpinned by white tropical fruit, along with a dark minerality, and some apple fruit, it is an attractive bouquet. It is juicy, with a fresh acid structure, and is light-footed, slightly salty, with white fruit flavours. It is already easy to drink.
