The red wine Aola di Orma Bolgheri Superiore DOC, vintage 2022 from the winery Orma has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, deep ruby colour with a purple sheen. Intense and inviting nose, opens with notes of liquorice and dark chocolate, then rich cassis tones, some mulberry, underpinned by spicy, peppery components. Lush on the palate, lots of dark berry fruit, again cassis, liquorice and spicy components, grippy tannins, firm drive on the finish.
