The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Pietroso has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby with garnet red nuances. Opens elegantly on fine cherry fruit, followed by notes of cassis, dark lilac and a hint of clove. Velvety on the palate, with firm, very well integrated tannins, still needs some time, very fresh, juicy and with great drive, lingering finish.
