The red wine Il Carbonaione Toscana IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Podere Poggio Scalette has been rated in 2020 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear ruby red. Very intense nose, opens with notes of canned peach, then lots of dark cherry, some cinnamon. Compact and with a lot of smooth fruit, fine-meshed, well integrated tannin, cinnamon on the finish.
