The red wine Pur Gold, vintage 2018 from the winery PUR Wein-Genuss has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Syrah from the region Carnuntum in Austria.
Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections with a delicately paler ochre hue at the rim. Fine savoury nuances, some cardamom, black cherries, liquorice and a hint of figs. Attractive fruit. Full-bodied, red cherries, freshly structured, salty minerality, pleasantly expressive with a delicate nutty touch on the finish. Already a very elegant food accompaniment.
