The red wine Quartz Reef Bendigo Pinot Noir Magnum, vintage 2003 from the winery Quartz Reef Vineyard has been rated in 2005 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Central Otago in New Zealand.
Deep dark ruby garnet, almost opaque core, violet reflections. Initially surprisingly restrained on the nose, underlaid with dark berry confit, delicately leafy spice. Powerful and concentrated on the palate, present tannins, but also sweet raspberry notes, cherry confit, sweet, rich in extract and long-lasting, but should only be opened in three to five years.
