The red wine Homenagem a António Carqueijeiro Syrah Vinho Regional Lisboa IG, vintage 1999 from the winery Quinta do Monte d’Oiro has been rated in 2004 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Extremadura in Portugal.
Deep dark ruby garnet, delicately softened core, intense violet reflections, a hint of beeswax on the nose, dried fruit with balsamic undertones, blackberries and cassis, very suggestive bouquet, sweet and complex on the palate, dense sweet dark berries, behind it a firm tannin structure, melting tannins, a truly grandiose wine, which fortunately only lacks the appropriate maturity, great!
