The red wine Perno Vigna Cappella di Santo Stefano Barolo DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery Podere Rocche dei Manzoni has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Brilliant, rich ruby with a fine garnet sheen. Appealing nose with notes of rose petals and tobacco, lots of pomegranate, inviting and clear, light notes of truffle in the background. Rich and taut tannin, coated with fine texture, all of a piece. Spreads richly with a firm drive on the finish.
