The red wine Le Baròncole Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery San Giusto a Rentennano has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo nero
It has a vivid ruby red colour. There are aromas of rich cherry, raspberry, a hint of tar on the nose, and lovely earthy nuances together with dark berry accents. It is full-bodied and powerful on the palate, with a salty undertone, fine resinous notes, and grippy tannins. It is still rough on the finish, and needs further ageing.
