The red wine Pignolo FCO DOC, vintage 2015 from the winery Scarbolo Sergio has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pignolo from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
Rich ruby with a fine garnet edge. Shows notes of tobacco, cranberry and blackberry on the nose. On the palate hearty, grippy tannin, is multilayered with many levels, then unfortunately a little reserved on the finish.
