The red wine Podere dei Blumeri Venezia Giulia Rosso IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Schiopetto has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Refosco from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
Intense, inky purple. Delicately outlined and compact nose of lush blackberries and ripe cassis notes with savouriness underpinned by the use of wood. The palate is very fresh and juicy with mineral and chalky nuances, grippy tannins and a lasting finish. Will still develop further.
