Bright, deep ruby-violet. Intense on the nose, initially revealing slightly smoky notes, followed by dark cassis and blackberries, with tobacco in the background. Dense and full-bodied on the palate, it opens up with very pronounced, still somewhat impetuous tannins, followed by lovely fruit in the mid-palate, and very pronounced oak in the finish.
