The white wine Gefide San Martino della Battaglia Liquoroso DOC, vintage 2001 from the winery Spia d'Italia has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points.
Bright amber yellow. Nutty and intense, dried fruit aromas as well as acacia honey on the nose, aftertaste of pickled peach, ripe Golden Delicious apple and dates. Well-integrated alcohol on the palate, fresh acidity, full mouthfeel with a rich texture, long and persistent on the finish, notes of ripe walnuts and dried apricots, a welcome change.
