The sparkling wine Goldmuskateller Sekt trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Staatsweingut mit Johannitergut has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
This has an intense nutmeg aroma, on a very pure and vivid nose. On the palate there is a beautiful playfulness, with a silky mousse, plenty of juiciness and nice quaffability, the sweetness doesn't seem a bit kitschy or even burdensome. It has nice length and tension, even on the finish the spiciness remains fresh and multi-layered.
