Tasting Notes

A colour between gold and amber. A pleasing smoky flint tone over the fruit and savouriness of the wine, with caramelised apple, sultanas and dried fruit. Surprisingly fresh on the palate, with still grippy acidity that masks the wine's oxidative notes, somewhat oily in texture, featuring cinnamon, nutmeg, bitter chocolate, and candied orange peel, as well as a slightly nutty and sweet rancio finish. (MS).
