The red wine Bolgheri Superiore DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Tenuta Le Colonne has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Shimmering ruby with a garnet-red rim. Very pronounced on the nose, lots of savouriness, juniper, some coriander, then cedar and tobacco. Opens full-bodied on the palate with rich fruit, mouth-filling in texture and length, grippy, interwoven tannins, densely structured, somewhat pithy, shows very good certain ageing potential.
