The red wine Cirneco Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2014 from the winery Terrazze dell’Etna has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nerello Mascalese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright garnet with a ruby-coloured core. A multi-layered nose of ripe red currants, black cherry and walnut, with some tobacco and coffee behind it. Fine-meshed structure with full-bodied tannins, powerful body, lively, shows complexity on the palate, dries slightly on the finish.
