Dark, rich ruby red. The nose is full of oak, along with fine cassis fruit, dark chocolate and elderberry, reverberating with toast and coffee powder. On the palate it is very strongly dominated by oak, with a substantial fruity core, but becomes drying on the finish and remains with a clear oak overhang.
