The white wine Riesling Goldberg, Wawern Erste Lage, vintage 2011 from the winery Weingut Van Volxem has been rated in 2012 with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Golden yellow colour. Concentrated and intense, very precise and elegant. Piquant style, quite pure on the palate, also rather dry, thus more angular than the Gottesfuß and the Altenberg, but nevertheless fascinating in its mineral and racy style. Complex, full of tension and long-lasting, compact and grippy, with great ageing potential. A great wine with a floral character.
