Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate rim brightening. Fine dark forest berries, ripe plum, a hint of honey, some dried fruit, spices, a multi-faceted bouquet. Powerful, full-bodied, sweet fruit, ripe tannins, somewhat drier and more vinous on the finish than usual, tobacco and mineral, very good length, secure development and certain ageing potential, very promising.
