Deep dark ruby in colour with a deep core, purple reflections, and subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, aromas of tobacco, black wild berries, ripe plum, candied orange zest, nuances of fig and nougat. The complex palate is textural and powerful, but not fiery, with a sweetness and elegance, round tannins, chocolaty and lingering. A fine, spicy food wine.
