The red wine Barolo DOCG, vintage 2011 from the winery Vite Colte has been rated in 2015 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Ripe color, fragrant wine, slightly floral, rose hips, small red berries, lots of juiciness on the palate, fine-grained, sandy tannins, elegant structure, ripe carrying acidity, has polish and delicacy and appears almost lightweight, yet typical of Barolo in its aromatic complexity. Somewhat anachronistic in its style, but also stylishly old school, gaining complexity and volume with air contact, excellent value.
