The white wine »Geheimrat J« Riesling trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Rheingau has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Again and again this beguiling flint note reveals itself here... but also an interplay of austerity in combination with rich, ripe, almost cooked fruit. This is a "full-bodied", dense, phenolic Riesling, yet with lightness and tension. Undoubtedly has successful balance.
