Lots of savouriness on the nose: dark smoke, clove, dark berry fruit, morello cherry, roasted notes, dried herbs, dill and mint. Dense and gripping on the palate, with fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins, discreetly clear, fresh fruit and lots of minerality on the finish. Beautiful length, a great glass and certain ageing potential for years to come.
