The white wine »für Helena« Gewürztraminer Spätlese, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Bärenhof has been rated in 2019 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gewürztraminer from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Rose on the nose, but also lime. On the palate it shows with a fine interplay of sweetness and acidity, refreshed by a hint of fermentation carbon dioxide, lots of juiciness and a surprising amount of tension for the warm year, an almost Riesling-like Gewürztraminer with good certain ageing potential.
