The red wine Großheubach -Alte Reben-, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Steintal has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Franconia in Germany.
Reduction, cassis and flint play intriguingly on the nose. The palate is wonderfully translucent and shimmers with red berry and cherry notes alongside subtle spice. Despite the lightness and freshness, tannins are firm and come with a lovely, youthful crunch. It is the aromatic, red-fruited freshness that lingers. Lovely.
