The red wine Mephisto, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Christ has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blauer Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot from the region Vienna in Austria.
Deep ruby garnet colour, purple reflections, with a broad ochre rim. Delicate flavours of heart cherries and plums, some mint, a hint of precious wood. Juicy, with notes of red berries, delicate sweetness, round tannins, some nougat on the finish, lingers long, a balanced food wine with good ageing potential.
