The red wine Elsheim »Alte Reben« Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Eppelmann has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Some vanilla from the wood and also a strong reductive note. Chocolate, sour cherry. The palate is fine, but also grippingly extracted on a supple, even full-bodied basis. A pinch of greenness is well integrated, density and concentration are very good, the aromas are still youthful and closed.
