The rosé wine Spätburgunder Rosé trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Frieden-Berg has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Moselle in Germany.
Quite an intense coral pink in colour. Candied cherry on the nose. Powerful and substantial on the palate, very dense and compact, firm, cultivated acidity, not an easy drinking rosé, mineral-based. Good certain ageing potential. Unfortunately perhaps a little too sweet.
