The red wine Zweigelt Neusiedlersee DAC Reserve Luckenwald, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Gebrüder Nittnaus has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
It has a dark ruby colour, opaque core, with purple reflections, and a delicate ochre rim. There are aromas of ripe plum, dark wild berry, subtle hints of liquorice and tobacco, and a lovely fine oak spiciness. It is juicy, elegant, with a ripe cherry flavour, integrated tannins, minerality, good persistence, and a hint of chocolate on the finish. It will benefit from further bottle ageing.
