Tasting Notes
Subtle on the nose, the floral notes have been somewhat replaced by more patinated notes, but the minerality remains. On the palate with significantly more presence than the low alcohol would suggest, still citrusy and taut, begins to open up very slowly.
More about the tastingAromas of juicy vine peach, ripened to the point, apricot, a little honeycomb. The juiciness of the sweet fruit is also evident on the palate, but is contrasted by a lively acidity, mineral, finely saline, straightforward and with tension.
More about the tastingThe nose oscillates between floral and fruity elements, lime blossom, lemon peel, a hint of white peach. On the palate, the "Altenforst" is consistently dry, firm and straightforward. Not a palate flatterer, will appeal to purists.
